The California Table

California Cuisine with a Coastal Vibe

April 1, 2011 By Lisa Dearen 6 Comments

Spring Break!

Today my little gg turned 5, we celebrated at Disneyland with family friends. I’m just thrilled to be celebrating at all; I spent the last two days deep in the throes of…food poisoning. Not exactly at the top of every food bloggers list of favorite things (although I did lose four pounds. Bonus!).

So while I had some lovely posts planned (spinach and chicken pizza! Bulgar wheat Greek chicken salad for a party!) you’re just going to have to wait because I’m hitting the road for spring break. First stop, Sacramento for some family fun and a few quick visits with high school pals, then off to Palm Springs. Hey, maybe I’ll spot a real housewife of…somewhere. Or, maybe I’ll just eat some fantastic food and have some lovely umbrella cocktails by the pool. Either way, it’s a win-win.

See you in a week!
