The California Table

California Cuisine with a Coastal Vibe

November 3, 2015 By Lisa Dearen 11 Comments

Welcome to The California Table!

Welcome to The California Table, a California lifestyle blog about California cuisine and coastal living.

I started blogging five years ago as The Gonzo Gourmet with the goal of keeping my programming skills and writing life alive and well. A few years ago, when I went gluten-free, I changed the name to Whisk & Cleaver, two kitchen tools I can’t live without.

Today, I find myself wanting to write about more than food. We all have so many interests to explore! My family and friends (and the beach) always come first, but I also love traveling to new countries, exploring Disneyland, celebrating the California coastal lifestyle, and eating at new restaurants up and down the coast.

And so The California Table was born.

You’ll see, of course, the healthy, easy, everyday recipes focused on fresh California ingredients that I featured on The Gonzo Gourmet. But I’ll also share my secrets for coastal living, from finding the best margarita in San Diego, to the most tempting tastes in town, to my travels to Disneyland and beyond.

So thanks for being a loyal reader for the past five years, and if you’re here for the first time, welcome!

Thanks, Elizabeth! Yes, using the Foodie Pro template and tutorials on Shay’s site. The logo is from a vendor I found on etsy.
