I love weddings. My own was over 18 years ago, but I still stop and sigh whenever I see a bride and her groom about to become one. So when the chance to review “The Knot Outdoor Weddings” came about, I jumped at the chance.
Obviously this book is ideal for brides-to-be and wedding planners, but if you love to entertain, “The Knot Outdoor Weddings” is perfect for you, too. There are color schemes, party themes and darling details galore! The book is divided into outdoor settings:
- Estate
- Waterside
- Garden
- Ranch
- Cityscape
- Vineyard
So while you may not be getting married anytime soon, this Modern Rustic themed wedding could easily inspire the color palette of your daughter’s next birthday party:
The details here are gorgeous: bright fuschia and tangerine orange paper lanterns; a sweet spring color scheme of white, pink and Tiffany blue; and bamboo-backed chairs all lend a cohesive air of hope and joy to the event.
If you’re lucky enough to call San Francisco home, consider this gorgeous outdoor setting, which could easily be adapted to any coastal venue:
Here, the background sets the scene. The table linens, chairs and other accessories are neutral to allow the beauty of the bay to shine through.
Throughout “The Knot Outdoor Weddings” are tips and hints to add delight to any event, whether it’s a small dinner party for six or an anniversary party for 100. If you like to entertain and love spending time pouring over the details, don’t overlook this book just because it says “weddings” on the cover. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the fun and inspiration between the pages of “The Knot Outdoor Weddings”.
