That’s me and my famwich, a catchy little phrase I picked up from Amy Lynch after reading her interview at This Little Mama. TLM was founded by my friend Elizabeth along with two of her closest friends, and I dare you to find a funnier take on motherhood.
Elizabeth is also one of my go-to cookery experts and her impression of Julia Child is so spot on, little GG thought she was “that lady in the Paris cooking movie.” This month I’m the featured mom of the month on Elizabeth’s blog – check out the interview here, where I dish on everything from Botox to dog poop to my favorite reads.

The weather has been GORGEOUS! Although, I’m new to SD so this will be my first summer her. If it gets hotter than this, I will melt. hehe As for the cupcakes, strawberry lemonade would be PERFECT! Like I said, I used what I had. Here’s my “golden rule” about liquids in cupcakes, you can pretty much get away with replacing the water in the recipe with a flavored drink. I’ve used beer, juice, margarita mix, you name it. Always turns out wonderful. Have fun experimenting and I will see you next Saturday!

Amy, welcome to San Diego! Looking forward to meeting you next Saturday, and thanks for the tips on replacing liquid in baking. I like the idea of a beer bread, we’ve got some great local beers in SD.

Thanks! The pic’s actually from last May, on the beach in Del Mar. We just did our updated family pics last night, I’ll post them on FB once I get them back.
