He’s cute! Is he taken?

I am so not a craft girl. Oh, I have grandiose dreams of being a crafty gal. And while my four-year-old marvels at my ability to rapidly cut out a dinosaur sticker, I can’t sew a hem to save my life.

That’s why one of my favorite words in the crafty lexicon is “kit.” Kit stands for all things I’m not, craft-wise: organized, together, inventive. I will gladly pay more for a kit when faced with the proposition of actually assembling an afternoon craft.

And, once again, Trader Joe’s comes to the rescue! This adorable gingerbread man kit comes with all the pieces, parts and decorations needed to occupy my little Gonzo Girl for at least 15 minutes. Ok, maybe 10. If you’re feeling super ambitious, pick up their Gingerbread House Kit (although the GB Man will appear giant like next to the GB House).

So if you’re short on sitters but long on time this afternoon, make an early run to TJ’s, pick up these adorable kits, then just sit back and let your kids figure out the rest. With your fingers in your ears you’ll never hear the squabbles now, will you?!
